Day 10 - God’s Bountiful Blessings

The LORD will make you abound in prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your beast and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. Deuteronomy 28:4

The word abound means to be present in great quantities. God desires that we should increase and multiply. The blessing here addresses the generous heart of God. God gives liberally to us. Jesus told us to ask so that we could be filled with joy. He wants us to know the joy that comes from answered prayer. Solomon prayed and asked God for wisdom to be a wise king over Israel. God answered that prayer and gave him so much more than he had asked. Solomon was one of the richest men in the world at that time. God wants to heap goodness upon us and He always has an open hand approach toward us. His hand is never empty; in His hands all blessings abound.

So, we pray: Lord we thank you for all the many blessings that you send our way every day. You are generosity overwhelms us. May we always receive with a grateful heart. Amen.
