Day 8 - Blessing Will Impact My Lifestyle

The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways. Deuteronomy 28:9

God is interested in my spiritual growth and maturity. He is not glorified when I am unstable in My commitment to Him as discerned by my lifestyle. No, I am not yet perfect or mature. However, my heart must desire perfection. My desire should be to have

Christ always seated on the throne of my heart. God’s promised blessing to me is that His kingdom will be established in righteousness in my life. I don’t have to be a slave to sin, for a holy God wants a holy people. I know that in me, that is in my sinful nature, there is nothing good. However, I also know, that when I come to Him in humility and repentance, He gives more grace. He washes me daily with His word. The God who demands holiness will empower me by His Spirit to live a holy life.

So, we pray: Let holiness be my blessing. You, God, are holy and I want to be like you. Let your word work righteousness in me that I might walk the highway of holiness. Amen.
