Day 1 - Blessings are Related to Obedience

If you listen obediently to the Voice of GOD, your God, and heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, GOD, your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of the world. All these blessings will come down on you and spread out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of GOD, your God: Deuteronomy 28:1-2

God’s blessings are conditional. He instructs us to hear and obey. Please note the order. First, we listen and then we respond by acting in obedience to what God has spoken. When we hear and obey, we have a promise that God’s blessings will be given to us.

So, we pray: God give us ears to hear what you want us to know today. Give us ears to hear you speaking to us through your written word as well as the still small voice. And what you command, let us be quick to obey. We ask that your blessing would be released over our life. Amen.
