In A Minute: Famous Christmas Words
For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37
The angel Gabriel told Mary the good news that Elizabeth who was barren was now in the sixth month of her pregnancy. He then added the words, “For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Wow! That is one of the most powerful verses in the Bible. How often we face situations that are impossible. Impossible for us to make sense of, or to handle, or
bring about a satisfactory resolution. We face situations that defy human wisdom, and which resist our own strength. Obstacles glare at us mockingly and defy our expertise. Impossibilities!
With God, there are no impossibilities. Elizabeth is pregnant. Can you believe that, Mary? Does it raise your faith to a new level? Elizabeth is pregnant because God filled her barren womb.
Can you conceive Mary? Can you conceive what God is doing? Can your virgin womb conceive? Impossible! How can that happen? Remember Mary, with God nothing shall be impossible.
