In A Minute: Famous Christmas Words
We have seen His star in the east and are come to worship Him.
~ Matthew 2:2
“We… are come to worship Him.”
Some go to hang out with friends. It’s an easy way to connect with them on a regular basis. It’s part of the social media thing. Some go because it’s a habit. A habit like brushing your teeth or showing up for work every day. Others go because that’s the way they have been raised since they were a kid. They want to keep the traditions alive. Their parents did it, and so they continue going. Some
people go because they think it will earn them some Brownie points, just another aspect of good works. They tend to be some what legalistic. Others go because they feel it would look bad if they didn’t go. They are people pleasers. Some go because they feel that something may be said to help them get through another week. They are the hurting. Others go because they want to meet with God. They are the seekers.
Tell me, why do you go to church?
I think the wise men had the best answer, “we are come to worship Him.”
